The statement notes that the National Naftogaz JSC still remains the largest company dealing with transit of Russian gas to Europe.
"We provide the best possible high quality of work, in spite of repeated violations of the contract by Gazprom," reads the statement.
Earlier, Maros Shevchovich invited the representatives of Ukrainian and Russian gas companies, Naftogaz and Gazprom, to meet to discuss further cooperation.
A key issue that will be discussed at the meeting is the reliability of gas transit to European consumers during the autumn-winter period.
