(QHA) - Ukraine is planning to increase exports of goods and services, including high-tech goods and services, to the Chinese market and thereby reduce the deficit of foreign trade with China. Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said this at a meeting with Liu Yunshan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China, in Kyiv on Friday, reports Ukrinform. According to the Prime Minister Ukraine had already submitted two documents for consideration by the Chinese side, in particular, a friendship and cooperation agreement between Ukraine and China and a strategic partnership program between Ukraine and China for 2013-2017. "The signing of these two very important documents will help us lay the foundation for the development of our relations in the next few years. These documents have been fully worked out by the Ukrainian side and submitted to the Chinese side. We hope that these documents will be signed during our president's visit to China at the end of this year," - Azarov said. Liu Yunshan, in turn, noted the fruitfulness of the continuous dialogue between Ukraine and China at the highest level and stressed the need to maintain it as it produces good results for both countries. He said that bilateral trade between the two countries had exceeded $10 billion and that there was every reason to increase it. Azarov also invited Prime Minister of the State Council of China Li Keqiang to make an official visit to Ukraine and hold negotiations in order to correct the situation.
