Kyiv (QHA) - The Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry of Ukraine claims for the second position in the world by grain export volumes following the U.S.
Ukraine plans to occupy the world's third position on trading in corn, the fourth - in barley and the sixth - in wheat, Ukrinform reports.
Agricultural Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk said about this, Ukrinform reports, referring to the Cabinet's information-analytical bulletin.
“It is prognosticated that we will be among the world's five leading grain exporters. As for main grain importers, Eastern Asia plans to purchase 60 million tons, the Middle East - 40 million tons, North Africa - 33 million tons. Markets of those regions are very attractive for us and we will develop cooperation with them,” the official noted.
The government takes all necessary measures for intensification of grain supply to foreign markets, the resource informs.
