WASHINGHTON (QHA) -

According to the letter of the US President to the Congress, published on the official website of the White House, Donald Trump has made a decision to suspend the free trade regime for a number of goods manufactured in Ukraine.

Trump noted that intellectual property rights protection was insufficient in Ukraine.

"Following the consideration of the criteria concerning the providing of the adequate and effective protection of intellectual property rights by the recipient country, I had determined the expediency of suspending the trade free regime," the letter said.

Earlier, QHA reported that following the results of 9 months of 2017, exports of goods and services from Ukraine amounted to $ 38.1 billion and increased by $ 6 billion compared to the same period in 2016.
