Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine denies information of Russian agricultural watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor that Crimea exports it grain crops to Cyprus and Saudi Arabia, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
Saudi Arabia informed Ukrainian embassy in Riyadh that information about Crimean grain crops import to the region is false. Representative for Saudi Agricultural Ministry assured that the country is not cooperating with the region, as it is required by European legislation.
As for Cyprus, it also denied the information, nothing that the country follows the EU decision to ban all the imports from Crimea.
Earlier Russian agricultural watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor announced Crimea had begun exporting grain from the 2014 harvest to Saudi Arabia and Cyprus.
On June 23 European Union banned Crimean imports as a part of the EU policy of non-recognition of Crimean annexation by Russia.
