Russian ruble, like oil price, continues to fall

Russia’s currency fell to new lows, touching nearly 68 rubles to the dollar; oil price has fallen as well.

September 14, 2015. Another rapid deprecation of Russian ruble and oil is announced at the Moscow Exchange today.

Since the start of trading the US dollar has risen by RUB 0.038, up to RUB 67.9/$1. The Euro has risen even more: by RUB 0.135, up to RUB 77.13/EUR1.

The Russian currency depreciation is accompanied by oil prices drop.

Thus, the price of WTI crude oil fell by 0.25%, up to $44.52/barrel. The Brent crude oil price fell by 0.65%, up to $47.79/barrel.
