Russia continues to supply about 1 million tons of coal to Ukraine every month, according to the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia Sergey Nazarov.
“We supply about 1 million tons of coal to Ukraine every month. But actually, we supply coal of coking type, we did not supply energy coal," he said.
Nazarov went on saying that coal supplies from the occupied territories of Donbas to Russia were out of question.
“The situation with these unrecognized republics has a little changed now ... They reorientate supplies to the third countries. The RF does not need this coal,” he informed.
Earlier, QHA reported that on April 19 The Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry took the initiative to refrain from supplying Russian coal to Ukraine.
