Public transport fare to go up in Crimea

As of October 1, 2015 public and urban transport far is to go up, report the State Committee on prices and tariffs of the Republic of Crimea.

Thus, the cost of public transport in the cities will grow by RUB 2 ruble. Now one bus ride in public transport for residents of Simferopol, Yevpatoria, Feodosia, Yalta, Alushta, Dzhankoy, Kerch will be RUB 12, Bakhchisarai - RUB11 rubles, Armenian, Krasnoperekopsk, Sudak, Saki – RUB 10.

In rural areas and village the fare will rise to RUB 9.

It is also planned to increase the suburban service fare. For example, the rates for suburban carriage of passengers by road in Crimea will be RUB 1.20 rubles. for one passenger per 1 kilometer for enterprises not using the services of the Krymavtotrans State Unitary Enterprise of Crimea.

The tariff for companies operating under agreement with the Krymavtotrans State Unitary Enterprise of Crimea will be RUB 1.25 for one of passengers per 1 kilometer.

- The increase in rates is connected with rising prices for diesel fuel, spare parts, as well as with the need to increase drivers’ wages to the standards defined by the Republican convention, reports the agency.
