Food prices in Crimea have grown to the level of London and Tokyo prices while the living standards of Crimeans have fallen, Oleksandr Live, ex-minister for resorts and tourism in Crimea, said in the televised interview to the 5 TV Channel.

According to Olexander Liev, the prices for food and many other goods in the Russia-occupied Crimea are now the same as those in the most expensive cities of the world: Tokyo, Singapore, London and Paris.

As of today, the prices in Crimea are the highest in Eurasia. Meanwhile, the pensioners have been least affected, since the average pension increased.

Olexander Liev considers that the blockade at the checkpoints blocks the main route to the peninsular. So, if now Crimeans consume their own seasonal food, they can experience the complete blockade in November and December this year.
