Poroshenko to prohibit working offshore

President initiates deoffshorization of Ukrainian business.

Speaking at the Japan National Press Club, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has made clear he intends to bring Ukrainian business to light, according to Ukrainian News.

“I plan to introduce a substantial reform that will make it impossible to use offshore accounts in Ukraine,” said Poroshenko.

President stressed that he would seek transparency of the Ukrainian business.

As known, President Petro Poroshenko has not yet transferred its assets to a trust. However, he began to restructure the Roshen company assets by creating three offshore companies. The Head of State assured he withdrew from asset management, outsourcing this function to consulting companies and law firms.
