Pavlenko: promo campaign of Ukrainian foods to be launched

Ukrainian food products are delivered to 190 countries including China as the biggest consumer

Promo campaign of Ukrainian food products is currently being held in social networks, Oleksiy Pavlenko, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, posted on his Facebook page.

“People from different countries take pictures of Ukrainian goods, being sold in foreign supermarkets, and upload them to social media,” he wrote.

Oleksiy Pavlenko has also posted the photos of Ukraine-produced sunflower oil in Chinese supermarket, tinned goods in Italy, juices and watermelons in Latvia, confectionary in the US and milk in Jordan.

Earlier, Oleksiy Pavlenko said that analyzing the country’s export for the 1st half of 2015 he came to conclusion that China was the largest importer of Ukrainian agricultural products and the Arab Republic of Egypt was a ‘silver’ partner of Ukraine in agricultural sector.

“The foreign trade turnover between Ukraine and Egypt has made up $663 million for seven months of this year. Having a rich black earth Ukraine, produces more agricultural products than consumes. But Egypt, having a large population and a small output volume, was, is and will be an import-dependent country.
