New Consul General of Turkey in Odessa visited Bakchisaray

Bakchisaray (QHA) - The newly appointed Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Odessa Nur Sagman visited Crimea and met with Bakchisaray town authorities. This was the first visit of Nur Sagman to Crimea. In Bakchisaray she met with head of Bakchisaray district state administration Elmi Umerov and head of the district council Valentina Krashkina. “We are pleased to welcome you in Crimea. We have very close ties with the Turkish government and I hope for their further development,” said Elmi Umerov. The Consul General noted that Bakchisaray is the first town in Crimea that she visited. She expressed hope for future fruitful cooperation as well. Ilmi Umerov informed about projects that were successfully implemented in Bakchisaray with the support of the Government of Turkey. Among them are: the purchase of one thousand homes for the formerly deported Crimean Tatars, renovation of Zyndzhirli madrassa and construction of a gym in the Crimean Tatar school. “At one of the meetings with the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayip Erdogan, we discussed construction of a new school in Bakchisaray and restoration of the oldest mosque in Crimea, located in Bakchisaray. We would be very grateful for the Turkish support with these two projects,” noted Umerov. Consul of the Republic of Turkey Nur Sagman assured the continuation of cooperation between Crimea and Turkey.
