Kazakhstan and Ukraine worked out plan to increase turnover

As of now, there are more than 400 Ukraine-invested companies operating in Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan and Ukraine have worked out a plan to increase turnover in 2015-16, reported Kazinform citing the first Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhytzhan Sagintayev as saying today at the Kazakh-Ukrainian business forum in Astana.

- We appreciate the interest of Ukrainian business circles to mutually beneficial cooperation with our country. Despite a decrease in turnover and investment activity I believe that the potential of the Kazakh-Ukrainian relations is not being implemented in full. Therefore, we appreciate the spirit of our constructive cooperation, regardless of the current political and economic situation. To support the positive dynamics of mutual trade, we have drafted a plan to increase turnover in 2015-2016. Now our Ministries are working out the plan. I think we will firm it up soon, said Bakytzhan Sagintayev.

The plan envisages the organization of exhibitions, fairs and assist in the exchange of a list of goods by trade delegations, as well as it is to activate mutual interest in holding the Kazakhstan-Ukraine Business Council.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, currently there are more than 400 Ukraine-invested companies operating in Kazakhstan. - We cooperate in the supply of coal concentrate, build cooperation in the agricultural sector. An example of positive Kazakhstan-Ukraine cooperation is the project on plant construction for production of steel structures and sandwich panels in the special economic zone "Astana - new city" with the participation of Ukrainian investor, said the Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister.
