In June 2017 Ukrainian industrial production increased by 3.8% compared to the same month in 2016, while the growth was 1.2% in May and decline was 6.1% in April, Interfax-Ukraine reports, citing the State Statistic Service of Ukraine.
In relation to May 2017, industrial production has increased by 0.1% in June 2017.
According to State Statistic Service industrial production of Ukraine fell by 0.4% against the same period in 2016 for the first half of the year in general. 6% decrease was recorded in the mining and quarrying industry, 5.6% decrease was noted in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, while growth of the processing industry was 3.6%.
The situation with industrial production in Donetsk and Luhansk regions on the ATO (antiterrorist operation) areas remains difficult.
According to the Department, industrial production decreased by 25% in Luhansk region in January-June 2017 in comparison with January-June 2016, and by 11.7% in Donetsk region, including in 2% June decline in Luhansk region and in 4.3% June decline in Donetsk region.
Reportedly, the industrial production in Ukraine grew by 2.4% in 2016 after a four-year decline: it decreased by 13% in 2015, by 10.1% in 2014, by 4.3% in 2013 and by 0.7% in 2012.
Demand for technicians has increased in the labor market of Ukraine for the first half of 2017.
