Crimean ‘authorities’ to introduce Russian ruble in April

Self-proclaimed Crimean government intends to switch to Russian ruble in Crimea starting April.  This was said by Deputy Prime Minister Rustam Temirgaliyev to Krim TV. 

“Starting April, Crimeans will receive wages and pensions in Russian rubles, social payments in full also in Russian rubles, by the new standards and the new system,” he said.

According to, in Crimea, some offices of Ukrainian “Privatbank” will not open on March 17 due to transition to ruble system.
