Crimea will not compensate for the absence of Polish apples and other fruits and vegetables on the Russian market.
Crimean Agriculture Minister Nikolai Poliushkin told reporters.
“Crimea will not be able to compensate for the absence of Polish vegetables and fruits in Russia,” -Poliushkin stressed.
According to him, Crimea produces only 100,000 tonnes of apples, whereas exports from Poland exceeded 1 million tonnes.
Russia, which is the largest importer of Polish apples and other agricultural products, banned imports of vegetables and fruits from Poland allegedly due to revealed quarantine pests.
Poland considers that a reason for the embargo is an active support of Ukraine in the conflict with Russia.
