One of the world's richest men, Microsoft founder Bill Gates has acquired 3,984,345 shares of the largest Ukrainian agricultural holding Kernel.

Currently, Bill Gates' investment fund Cascade bought 3,984,345 shares of the agricultural holding, estimated at USD 57.37 million, accounting for 5% of the share capital of the company, reports the citing the official website of Kernel Group.

Kernel company, which has been working in the agricultural sector of Ukraine since 1994, produces sunflower oil and sales bottled oil under the trademarks Shedryi Dar, Stozhar, Chumak Zolota, exports oil and grains and provides services for storage of grains and oilseeds at the elevators.
