Antimonopoly Committee fined ‘Gazprom’ by UAH 85 billion

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has fined the Russian company "Gazprom" by UAH 85 billion for the abuse of monopoly power.

- Just now Gazprom has been fined by UAH 85 billion since the company abuses the monopoly position in the market of the natural gas transit through main pipelines in Ukraine, the Head of the Department Yuriy Terentyev reported on Facebook.

As QHA reported earlier, The company South Stream Transport B.V. agreed to discharge the PJSC "Gazprom" from all obligations under the agreement on the gas transportation October 2, 2013 and to terminate a suretyship contract.
