900 thousand UAH have been allocated from the State budget of Ukraine for the construction of houses for the formerly deported Crimean Tatars. This was announced by Nadir Nomanov, first deputy chairman of the Republican committee of Crimea on interethnic relations and deported people.

Nomanov noted that the funds have been allocated to specific projects, namely, 180- apartment house in Fontani neighborhood (Simferopol), 40 single-family homes in Yarkoye pole settlement (Kirovskiy district), 24 single-family homes in Leninskiy district and 168-apartment house in Bakchisaray town.

According to Nomanov, due to decrease in state financing for the construction of housing for the formerly deported, at present construction is practically suspended. Council of Ministers of Crimea and Verkhovnaya Rada of Crimea have repeatedly appealed to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine to increase funding.

On the part of the committee, continuous work is carried out to resume and increase funding for construction from the Crimean budget, stated Nomanov.
