Ukrainian musicians supported citizens of Donetsk and Lugansk regions

The representatives of the Ukrainian music scene told about their cultural and volunteer trips to the northern areas of the Lugansk and unoccupied areas of Donetsk regions at a press conference on September, 2, Kiev.

The voluntary action ‘Be Ukrainian’, attended by such groups as Haydamaky, The Shadow of the Sun, Jungle cat, as well as singer-songwriter Sergey Fayfura, aims to promote the Ukrainian culture in the regions influenced by separatist sentiments.

The conference participants shared their experiences and plans for future trips. According to report, since Lugansk and Donetsk regions are now in information isolation, such cultural events have a positive effect on people's mood and allow to share truthful data with regional citizens.

Within the framework of the project, the musicians performed in front of the Ukrainian army’s soldiers, maintaining the soldiers’ morale and heroism.

The participants of the ‘Be Ukrainian’ action are plan to visit each regional center in Lugansk and Kharkiv, as well as to continue their trips to Donetsk.
