Ukrainian “Country of Dreams” and Crimean Tatars

KYIV (QHA) - Famous festival “Country of Dreams” will be conducted in Kyiv on July 6-7 for tenth time. One of the most token event within framework of the festival will be the Crimean Tatar stage. The Cemile dance group, the winner of the Tatlı Ses (Sweet Voice in Crimean Tatar – ed.) TV contest, young singer Ayşe Ramazan, the Zaman instrumental group, etc.
Moreover, there will be the master-classes on the Crimean Tatar dances and playing the accordion, Crimean Tatar tea and coffee, painting of hands by henna of Zehra Ablâziz and Kureş martial art.
For the first time in the history of the Ukrainian music, the unique joint Ukrainian-Crimean Tatar music project “SunSay & Elvira Sarıhalil” will be represented at the Country of Dreams.
Among of guests of the festival are the folk bands from Ukraine, Poland, Georgia, Great Britain, Armenia, Canada, Austria and France.
Alley of Craftsmen, Children’s Glade, Workshop of Folk Dances, Ethno-Fashion, Cossacks’ Amusement, Literary Stage and Book Fair will wait visitors of the Country of Dreams.
Note: the Country of Dreams is the International festival of folk music that is conducted since 2004. It is held on Midsummer Days. The main idea of this festival is the rebirth of the Ukrainian traditional culture, support for the modern music folk styles, acquaintance of the Ukrainians with cultures of other nations.
Founder and creative director of the Country of Dreams Festival is the famous Ukrainian musician, leader of the Ukrainian legendary Rock group “Vopli Vidopliasova” Oleh Skrypka. Just one of the songs of this rock group gave the name to this festival.
