Bakhchisaray Gasprinsky museum hosts “II Bakhchisaray scientific readings in honor of Ismail Gasprinsky” scientific conference Sept 23, dedicated to 100th anniversary of Gasprinsky’s death.

Participants are due to read papers dedicated to life and works of Gasprinsky-- prominent Crimean Tatar educator and public activist.

The event is attended by representatives of scientific community and sphere of culture, representatives of local, Crimean and Russian authorities.

Among those, spoke with opening speech at the conference, there was Director General of Bakhchisaray Historical and Cultural Reserve Elmira Ablyalimova, deputy mufti of Crimea Ayder Ismailov, head of state committee on interethnic relations and formally deported citizens Zaur Smirnov, deputy head of Council of Muftis of Russia Damir Muhitdinov and deputy head of Fund for support of Islamic culture, science and education Ruslan Volkov. They thanked the participants of the conference for their contribution in study of Gasprinsky’s works.

The event is organized by Crimean Cultural Ministry, Bakhchisaray Historical and Cultural Reserve, Religious Administration of Muslims of Crimea, Fund for support of Islamic culture, science and education and Gasprinsky museum.

To recall, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has approved the proposal of Turkey to mark in 2014 in cooperation with Ukraine a 100-year death anniversary of Gasprinsky.
