KYIV (QHA) -

Official permission to excavate in the territory of occupied Crimea will facilitate the illegal excavations, Mejlis member Eskender Bariev, coordinator of Committee on Protection of Crimean Tatars rights stated at the meeting of the Coordinating Council for rights and freedoms of Ukrainian citizens living in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, held at the premises of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on October 27, 2015.

“In my opinion, even if there will be a permission to excavate, we need to issue official ‘open letters’ and control the whole process,” said Bariev.

Nariman Ustaev, Chairman of the State Service of Ukraine for the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol supported Eskender Bariev in this issue.

“I suggest that any exhibition of displays that have been brought from the Crimea since February 20, 2014 (officially recognized date of occupation) should be considered as unofficial and illegal,” he said.
