The Queen of England awarded Benedict Cumberbatch, who played the role of charismatic detective Sherlock Holmes, with the Order for outstanding achievements in artistic art and charity. 

The British actor is also known for his role as journalist Julian Assange in the biographical thriller ‘The Fifth Estate’ (2013) and as mathematician Alan Turing in the historical drama ‘The Imitation Game’ (2014).
