Simferopol (QHA) - Exhibition of an artist Khalil Memedlyayev opened in Simferopol, reports 0652.ua. The exhibition features portraits of prominent Crimean Tatars; among them are journalist Lilya Budjurova, director general of ATR TV channel Elzara Islyamova, historian Gulnara Abdullayeva, rector of the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University Fevzi Yakubov, poet Eshref Shemi-Zade and others. One of the portraits is of the leader of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Jemilev. The portrait was painted in 1995. Note: Khalil Memedlyaev was born in Crimea in 1937. He graduated from the Republican Art College in Dushanbe (Tajikistan). In 1993, he returned back to Crimea. He is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
