‘Theatre for Refugees’ is a theatrical project launched in Kyiv. His actors are ordinary people who were forced to leave their homes.
The theatrical project is drawing on special technique that helps to solve psychological and social problems of displaced persons from Crimea and Donbas, rbc.ua reports.
Authors of the project: German director Georg Genaux, Ukrainian playwrights Natalia Vorozhbit and Maxim Kurochkin, and military psychologist Alex Karachinskiy.
The first performance ‘Where is the East?’ has already been staged. The refugees as actors talked about life in the epicenter of war, shared their memories and described their feelings and experience when they found themselves in a strange city, where they were forced to move.
According to the project initiators, the primary objective is to give everyone the opportunity to be heard. So, any refugee can join the project.
