According to Eldar Veliyev, Deputy Director of Small Jerusalem company, the praying tower, currently in a most precarious condition, and temple have been closed to public access.

Though included on the Federal Program for Preservation of Cultural Legacy, the monument cannot be immediately repaired due to inadequate funding. Under very favorable circumstances, only a blueprint for its restoration can be drawn with the available money this year.

“If we succeed in getting the money to be used next year, I think we can kickstart things,” said Eldar Veliyev.
