London (QHA) - The exhibition of works by 25 Ukrainian artists opened in one of London's most prestigious galleries - Saatchi Gallery on Thursday, an Interfax-Ukraine reports. The exhibition includes paintings, installations and sculptures by two generations of the best Ukrainian artists. The Ukrainian art has never before been exhibited in the UK on such a scale. The exhibition is held as part of the Days of Ukraine in the United Kingdom organized by the Firtash Foundation with the financial support of the Group DF. "We brought works of the top 25 Ukrainian artists to London. At present, these artists are the hallmark of the Ukrainian art," the curator of art exhibition, Igor Abramovich, said. "Ukraine is only 22 years old, but our culture has a centuries-long history. The introduction of Ukrainian fine arts, which combines fidelity to the ancient traditions and openness to modernity, will not leave Brits indifferent, I'm sure," Chair of Firtash Foundation Lada Firtash said. The exhibition presents works that artists created specifically for the Days of Ukraine in the United Kingdom. According to Victor Sydorenko, for instance, he made his work in one month specifically for this art exhibition. The Ukrainian exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery will be open until October 24, 2013.
