Ukraine lacks festivals, where young musicians can present their original music, said Ukrainian singer of Crimean Tatar origin Jamala in her interview to TVI Channel. “We still lack worthy festivals, where young singers can show themselves. There is great number of talent shows; it is an output, but not the best. I would like our children to grow up on good music festivals, hear good live music and concerts and not just shows that make stereotypes” – said Jamala. The singer stressed that all the popular talent shows “put stereotypes” on musicians. “We have a lot of talent shows, still none of them made a worthy musician. It seems like somebody prevents them from becoming better”- Jamala claimed.
