Yesterday, the winner of the 2016 Eurovision Jamala took part in famous Swedish festival Allsång på Skansen with her legendary 1944 song. Video of her performance was released on YouTube.

BACKGROUND: Allsång på Skansen (Sing-along at Skansen) is a Swedish show at Skansen (Stockholm), which takes place every summer on Tuesdays between 8 pm and 9 pm local time. The audience sings along with musical guests to well-known Swedish song. The show began in 1935 on a small scale - about 50 people in the audience. To date, about 10 000 - 25 500 people come to the show. Veronica Maggio, Jamala and Smith & Thell staged their performances on July 26.

A Ukrainian singer of the Crimean Tatar descent Jamala took the first place at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest. She scored victory due to viewers’ votes, ousting the Australian contestant from the first place, who confidently had taken the lead before. Australia and Russia were in second and third place respectively.
