First Crimean Tatar full-length movie “Haytarma” was displayed in Eskisehir city (Turkey), the capital of the Turkic world of 2013.
On November 16, a delegation from Crimea arrived in Eskisehir. The delegation included leader of Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Jemilev, head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov, Mufti of Crimea Emirali Ablayev, head of Bakhchisaray district state administration Ilmi Umerov, members of Mejlis Ahtem Chiygoz and Gayana Yuksel, members of ATR TV channel led by the channel owner and general producer of “Haytarma” Lenur Islyamov.
The idea to present “Haytarma” in Eskisehir, which has the largest Crimean Tatar diaspora, belongs to head of the Crimean Tatar Association (Dernek) in Eskisehir Mesut Or.
A full house, which was observed during the display at the Ataturk Cultural Center (Anadolu University), was not unexpected. The cinema hall could not accommodate all wanting to see the movie, so immediately after the first demonstration, the movie was shown again for those, who didn’t get to see it.
Afterwards, Lenur Islyamov invited all members of the Crimean delegation onstage. He announced that last week “Haytarma” won the Grand Prix at the film festival in Truskavets (Ukraine).
