June 21, an exhibition of paintings by the famous Ukrainian artist Ivan Marchuk "The Voice of My Soul" opened in Mustafa Ayaz Museum and Cultural Center in Ankara.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Turkey Andriy Sibiga, representatives of the Ukrainian Diaspora and Turkish admirers of art.

The collection of the famous artist consists of about five thousand works in 12 creative series, among them - "Voice of My Soul", "Landscape", "White Planet 1", "One Look Into Infinity".

“I showed this exhibition in many parts of the world, and with this one the number of shows reaches 160. I exhibit my paintings for the first time in Turkey, but I hope that not the last one. I have almost five thousand paintings, but here I brought those most important ones for me. The pictures I painted show my inner world, and in order to understand them, you need to look deep into those paintings. At first I did not know what I was drawing, but I realized that these unknown things reflect my inner world,” Ivan Marchuk said at the opening ceremony of his exhibition.

Ivan Marchuk is a world-renowned artist and the only one of the Ukrainian artists who entered the list of "Top 100 living geniuses" compiled by the leading British magazine The Daily Telegraph in 2007. He is a holder of numerous awards, his works are exhibited all over the world.

Earlier, in March this year Kyiv hosted a presentation of the photo exhibition "Stained Glass of the Soul" dedicated to the genius of modern times, the national artist of Ukraine Ivan Marchuk. The author of the exhibition, Honored Journalist of Ukraine, photo correspondent Oleg Snitovsky for many years photographed the outstanding artist in his native Ternopil region.
