Eurovision-2017 to be held in Kyiv

The Organizing Committee has announced the city that will host the international song contest "Eurovision-2017". The winner is the capital of Ukraine - Kiev. According to the Minister of Culture Yevheniy Nyshchuk, it was nearly a 3- month intrigue to finally find out what city will host the Eurovision.

 We do not regret the competition started. It made it possible to present different Ukrainian cities. Well done, he said.

The city to host the concert has been determined for more than a month with the next cities being among the applicants: Kiev, Dnipro, Lviv, Odessa, Kharkiv and Kherson. The cities of Kiev, Odessa and Dnipro came to the final.

As QHA reported earlier, August 25 a briefing was postponed at which the city - winner to host the "Eurovision-2017" was to be announced.

The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated from the reserve funds 450 million hryvnia so that the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Committee can hold the international song competition.

Ukrainian singer of the Crimean Tatar origin Jamala was ranked first at the International Song Contest "Eurovision-2016". Therefore, "Eurovision-2017" will be held in Ukraine.
