The 5th Derviza district festival of the Crimean Tatar folk art will be held next Saturday, on September 26, in the village of Hvardiiske, Simferopol district.
According to the press service of district administration, the guests will enjoy the performance of on-stage groups, food & crafts fairs, as well as Kuresh national wrestling contest. The festival will begin at 1.00pm at the stadium of Hvardiiske (4, Stadionnaya St.).
Derviza, the traditional holiday of Crimean Tatars (the day of fall and harvest) is marked on September 22, every year. This date symbolizes the results of activities from Hidirlez to Derviza holidays.
The festival is usually celebrated in nature's lap, near the source of water and features singing, dance and poetry competitions, as well as Kuresh national wrestling contest.
