KYIV (QHA) -

April 20 the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed the Law "On the Ukrainian Cultural Fund" and "On State Support of Cinematography in Ukraine". With regard to the introduction of new laws, the Head of state expressed his support for the Crimean Tatar cinema.

“There is a principled and clear position - only products in the Ukrainian language will have the right to support. The only exception for this is the Crimean Tatar language, taking into account the situation the Crimean Tatar people faced as a result of the illegal annexation of the Crimea,” Poroshenko said.

Earlier, in mid-April, Crimean Tatar filmmaker Ernesh Sarykhalilov received a presidential grant to shoot a short feature film "Nail".
