October 22, 2015. The exhibition of calligraphy and panting works of Qin Libin and Zhang Jianzhong has been opened at Taras Shevchenko National Museum in Kyiv today.
Over 50 artworks of outstanding Chinese artists have been featured in the exhibition and each of them is created in one of the traditional styles. The authors emphasize that in such way they pay tribute to their history and ethos.
The presented at the exhibition Qin Libin’s samples of calligraphy are made in kǎishū xíngshū and cǎoshū styles, whereby the outstanding Chinese artist successfully conveying the spirit of famous Chinese artists while maintaining his own style and ideas.
No less remarkable are the artworks of Zhang Jianzhong. His paintings depict mountain landscapes, flowers and birds symbolizing the traditions of Tibet and refinement of Chinese intellectuals’ life. According to the artist, he reproduces the ethos of these people in his pictures.
“We are proud of the fact that Taras Shevchenko National Museum has been cooperating with the artists of the Chinese People’s Republic for a long time. Now the admirers of the Chinese arts have a wonderful opportunity to see these artworks and feel their energy and positivity, as well as the spirit of this beautiful country,” said the organizers of the exhibition.
