Archaeologists from the University of Münster have found a large floor mosaic of Roman Hellenistic era on the border of Turkey and Syria. The discovery was made during excavations on the site of the ancient city Dolehe, 24 TV channel reports referring to the official press release of the University.

The mosaic was found on the floor of a building complex with a total area of 100 square meters. The archaeologists believe that the mosaic decorated a luxury villa due to its richness of drawing and specific geometric motif. At the moment, there is no information as for the precise dating or mosaic origin.
