Archaeological artifacts will be sought in Sudak Fortress

Discoveries and findings of world importance may be revealed there.

New archeological excavations will be carried out in Sudak Fortress, Arina Novoselskaya, Minister of Culture in occupied Crimea, reports.

“Additional geodesic surveys have been conducted onsite Sudak Fortress, because there may be archaeological discoveries and findings of world importance,” she said. 

The Sudak Fortress was part of the National Reserve Sophia Kievskaya since 1954. Ukrainian experts paid special attention to the ancient monument, carried out restoration and research works, and created a professional team involved in works related to the object.
