SIMFEROPOL (QHA) - Next week, at the invitation of the first Crimean Tatar channel ATR, famous Turkish actress Aydan Sener will visit Crimea, informs ATR. In Crimea, the star of the cult series Çalıkuşu (Goldcrest is a singing bird) will participate in several projects of ATR channel, meet with the journalists, visit local sights and get acquainted with the Crimean Tatar culture. The actress admits she has long wanted to visit Crimea as her ancestors come from the peninsula. Aydan Sener will also be part of the delegation to take “Haytarma” movie to the IX international festival of Muslim film in Kazan (Russia). During the festival, the first Crimean Tatar full-length movie “Haytarma” will have a special screening out of competition. Note: Aydan Sener was born in 1963 in Turkey. She was elected Miss Turkey in 1981 and represented Turkey at the Miss World beauty pageant in the same year. Having worked as a model for a short while, she started her acting career with the TV series ‘Küçük Ağa’ in 1983. But it is the leading role in ‘Çalıkuşu’ series that made her famous all over the world. Sener had repeatedly traveled to Russia and other CIS countries but this will be her first time in Ukraine.
