  Ecuadorian vice president nominated for Nobel Prize  Vice President of Ecuador Lenin Moreno is nominated for Nobel Peace Prize by an Ecuadorian legislator, Ria Novosti informs.
The 58-year-old politician received the honor for the activity of his charity for the disabled, Manuela Espejo. Moreno himself was shot in the back by a robber in 1997 and is confined to a wheelchair.
The deadline for submitting nominations for 2012 Nobel Prizes was February 2. It remained unclear whether Moreno made it in time for the award, which saw more than 200 nominees vying for it last year.
