Crimean tour operators ink memo with Latvian colleagues

RIGA, LATVIA (QHA) - Association of Tour Operators of Crimea and Aqyar/ Sevastopil has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Latvian Tour Operators’ Association.
The signing ceremony has taken place as part of the 19th International Travel Trade Fair BALTTOUR in Riga, Latvia, according to the Crimean Resort and Information Centre.
As the President of the Association of Tour Operators of Crimea and Aqyar, President of Kandagar-Tour company, Borys Zelinskyi, reported, the document was concluded at an evening event devoted to Crimea. The Crimea presentation in Riga has brought together more than thousand people.
He said that the memorandum is declarative in nature and contains intent of the parties to develop bilateral relations.
“We intend to maximally strengthen ties with Latvia, to establish a cultural exchange, to increase two-way flow of tourists, to jointly examine legislation in the sphere of tourism in Latvia and Ukraine,” Zelinskyi noted.
He added that he expects a positive result from the signing of this agreement.
“With it we can make Latvian tour operators more interested in our tourism product. The Latvian side has certain advertising opportunities and if we use them, more potential customers will know about our product,” concluded the President of the Association of Tour Operators of Crimea and Aqyar.
As QHA reported, on February 9-12, the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of Crimea has held the Days of Crimea in Riga, during which the Crimean delegation participated in the International Travel Trade Fair BALTTOUR.
