  Crimean Tatar Museum to show early XX century Crimea AQMESCIT/ SIMFEROPIL (QHA) - February 3, the Crimean Tatar Museum of Art will open an exhibition ‘Crimea in the works of artists of the first half of XX century.’
The exposition will feature works from the Bağçasaray/ Bakhchisarai Historical and Cultural Reserve, the Simferopol Art Museum, private collection of the Crimean Tatar writer İdris Asanin, as well as over 100 works by eight painters, including Kostiantyn Bohaievskyi, Volodymyr Yanovskyi, Oleksandr Kuprin, Nina Zhaba and others.
The exhibition is dedicated to the memorable date, as 45 years ago known painter and art historian Yelena Nagayevskaya organized an exposition of the Crimean artists in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The initiators of the exhibition are members of the Crimean Tatar national movement. Views of Crimea and Bağçasaray were reflected in the paintings of Yanovskyi, Nagayevska, Nina and Alfons Zhabas and many other artists.
The exhibition will also present landscapes and several paintings of ethnographic character, reflecting the life and culture of Crimean Tatars.
The exhibition organized by the organization ‘Azizler’ and its founder Zarema Haireddin will run until March 10.
