Crimean sambo wrestler wins Ukrainian Cup

AQMESCIT/ SIMFEROPIL (QHA) -  An athlete from Crimea has become the best sambo wrestler at the Ukrainian Sambo Championship men and women which took place in Kyiv on January 28-29.
The Crimean team ranked second, following the team from Kyiv, the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Crimea has reported.
According to the Ministry, Andrii Hordiienko from the Crimean town of Kefe/ Feodosiya has gained victory on the weight class 82 kg, therefore, won the title of the champion of Ukraine in Sports Sambo.
Following the competition, Hordiienko will take part in the European Sambo Championship in Ukraine’s junior national team to be held in spring 2012.
“Silver” in the Sports Sambo competitions went to Svitlana Usatova (Keriç/ Kerch, Crimea), “bronze” – to Alla Kalashnikova (Aqmescit/ Simferopil) and Oleksandr Loshak (Keriç).
Artur Poliian and Andrii Bayrak (Yalta) took 1st place in Combat Sambo (in different classes). Oleksandr Pysmennyi and Artem Lohoshkin (Yalta) took 2nd place in the same competitions. 3rd place in Combat Sambo went to Kyrylo Dudkin (Aqmescit) and Memet Qaray (Seitler/ Nyzhniohirsk).
