Boxers from Bağçasaray gain victory at Ukrainian Championship (PHOTOS)

BAĞÇASARAY/ BAKHCHISARAI (QHA) - Crimean athletes have participated in the Ukrainian Muay Thai Championship which was held in Kharkiv on January 26-29.
The tournament was attended by about 200 athletes from all regions of Ukraine. Crimea was represented by a team of 15 boxers.
Competitions were held in ‘A’ and ‘B’ classes in the weight categories from 48 kg up to heavyweight - 91 kg.
Championship of Ukraine began selection for the World Cup. So, winners of ‘A’ class gained the right to represent Ukraine at the World Championships.
Crimean Tatar boxer from Bağçasaray, Osman Seroca, who took 1st place in the weight class 63.5 kg, has become one of the applicants for the World Muay Thai Championship.
Another Crimean Tatar athlete Seit-Khalil Veli won 2nd place in the weight category 75 kg, ‘A’ class.
The Crimean team was trained by the Master of Sports, world-class coach Oleksii Haievskyi and Honoured Coach of Eurasia Henadii Chadaiev.
It should be noted that this will be the second World Muay Thai Championship in Osman Seroca’s sports career. Last year athlete has won in the weight category 60 kg.
