ARC to take part in Europe Day

AQMESCIT/ SIMFEROPIL (QHA) - Europe Day will be held in Crimea this spring. The action plan to hold the event was approved at a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Crimea on February 14.
According to the Crimean Government’s Information Department, the action plan provides for a concert of works of European composers scheduled for April-May, advertising and information tour for representatives of the travel industry in Western Europe, as well as permanent literary exhibitions ‘Travelling to Europe’, ‘Europe – our common home’, ‘Ukraine and the European Union’, ‘European countries’ in school and university libraries.
In addition, schools and universities will host euroclubs, lectures and round-table meetings devoted to the collective security in Europe and Ukraine, as well as the European Union’s role in the world. It is also planned to conduct a republican intercollegiate competition of student research papers on topical issues of cooperation with the EU's ‘European choice of Ukraine.’

Reference: Europe Day is celebrated in Ukraine every third Saturday in May since 2003. Celebration of Europe Day is one of the components of the State Target Programme of informing public about European integration for 2008-2011, approved by Cabinet in July 2008.
