Aqmescit to host Global Village Fest

AQMESCIT/ SIMFEROPIL (QHA) - February 2, the V. Vernadsky Tavriia national University will host the International Global Village Youth Festival.
The event is initiated by the NGO International Republican Association of Leaders ‘AIESEC in Crimea.’ QHA has learnt this from the Reception Coordinator of AIESEC in Aqmescit/ Simferopil, Anastasiya Hanenko.
According to the organizers, the festival aims to familiarize residents of Crimea with the national culture of different nations, promote ideas and social models of tolerance.
It is expected that Global Village will involve more than 60 volunteer foreign students who came to Ukraine as part of the AIESEC international internship programmes.
Members of the organization participate in social, educational and environmental projects. At the festival they will tell about their traditions, show household items and national costumes. The programme of the event will also include tasting of national dishes, tea ceremony, etc.
According to the organizers, through the Global Village programme, young people will explore ways in which such a human-centred, democratic approach to future peace, development, and justice can be constructed by children and young people.
